About Carolynne Fromme

Carolynne Fromme is a Manhattan-based impressionistic painter and the founder of Fromme Productions LLC. Working across landscape, abstraction, and narrative figurative painting, she uses expressive color, layered surfaces, and energetic brushwork to explore resilience, memory, women’s lives, and the natural world.

Carolynne earned a master’s degree in Digital Imaging and Design from New York University, where her thesis received honors. She continued her artistic training through intensive study at the National Academy and the Art Students League of New York. This combination of traditional studio practice and digital experience has shaped an approach that balances observation with instinct, structure with spontaneity, and recognizable imagery with abstraction.

Her paintings are intended to feel immediate and alive. Beauty exists beside grit, softness beside strength, and control beside release. Whether she is painting an Italian landscape, an underwater figure, or an abstract response to the environment, Carolynne is interested in the emotional experience beneath the visible subject.

The discipline that sustained Carolynne through years of marathon running also informs her studio practice.
